Every student in Poway Unified deserves a rigorous, world-class education that prepares them for college, career, and life.
Raise the Bar on Standards
I believe PUSD must maintain and strengthen high academic standards in core subjects — reading, writing, mathematics, science, and history. We should resist the temptation to water down curriculum in the name of equity. True equity means giving every student access to a challenging, high-quality education.
Data-Driven Accountability
I will push for transparent reporting of student achievement data — broken down by school, grade, and subject — so parents and the community can hold the district accountable. If a school is falling behind, we need to know why and act quickly.
Support for Teachers
Great schools start with great teachers. I will advocate for competitive compensation, meaningful professional development, and reduced administrative burden so our educators can focus on what matters most: teaching.
Advanced & Gifted Programs
PUSD should expand access to Advanced Placement, honors, and gifted programs. Every student who is ready to be challenged should have that opportunity — regardless of which school they attend within the district.
